And the Winner Is…

Rumor won Best in Show at the 141st Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show

Rumor has it…indeed she does! Rumor, formally known as: GCH CH Lockenhaus’ Rumor Has It V Kenlyn, won Best in Show at the 141st Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Rumor is a gorgeous 5 ½ year old, female, German Shepherd dog. Nearly 2,800 dogs were entered in the 141st Westminster canine competition, representing 202 eligible breeds and varieties.

Her win this year is no small feat as she narrowly missed winning last year’s competition, and considered giving up the competition life for one of retirement. Rather than starting a family, just yet, Rumor came back and beat out a Norwegian Elkhound, a Pekingese, a Miniature Poodle, an Irish Setter, a Boxer and a Norwich Terrier in the final competition for Best in Show. She has 103 career championships under her collar, earning her the second victory by a German Shepherd and the entire Herding category (the first one occurred in 1987) and the 39th win by a female-go girl power!
